Dr. Denia Tapscott
Dr. Denia Tapscott is a board certified internist specializing in Bariatric Medicine and Functional Medicine. She is an active member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians (ASBP), and well-versed in the latest techniques and medications for weight loss. She attended medical school at Georgetown University and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas, Houston.
Dr. Tapscott developed Personal Touch, PLLC a weight loss program that incorporated counseling and medicine to help people improve their health and lose weight. She served as the Assistant Director of a Bariatric Surgery Center at a local hospital, preparing and monitoring patients throughout their weight loss journey. She previously served as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Howard University College of Medicine and the Director of the Howard University Center for Wellness and Weight Loss Surgery.
Dr. Crystal McGinty
Crystal McGinty, MD is a considerate and mindful primary care physician who is dedicated to providing excellent patient care and service for the Bethesda, MD community. Dr. Crystal McGinty completed her Undergraduate studies at Emory University and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology at Howard University in 1986. She then completed her Doctorate of Medicine at Howard University in 1986 and has completed Internships, Fellowships and Residency at Washington Hospital Center, University of Florida, National Cancer Institute and Princeton University. Dr. McGinty has been practicing for over 20 years and is a very experienced internist.
Dr. McGinty is part of the Jivana Care team and she is also a member of the American Medical Association, National Medical Association, and the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine.
Dr. McGinty is committed to helping her patients enjoy a healthier lifestyle and she works with individuals to discuss ways they can make better choices for their health.
Dr. Gezzer Ortega
Gezzer Ortega, MD graduated from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC and specializes in general surgery. Recently, Dr. Ortega has completed his Master of Public Health degree at Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiologic and Bio statistical Methods for Clinical Research. Dr. Ortega plans to pursue a career as a pediatric academic surgeon. His hobbies include spending time with family and traveling.
Dr. Subash Duggirala
Dr. Subash Duggirala is a highly skilled physician with vast clinical and management experience. He has practiced as a physician in Primary Care, Occupational Medicine, Pain Management and Cosmetic Medicine for more than 25 years. Dr. Duggirala completed medical school at S.C.B Medical College and then continued his education to earn a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from University of Washington, Seattle. He then completed two residency programs at University of Washington, Seattle in Preventive Medicine and Family and Community Medicine in BHU. In addition, Dr. Duggirala has completed specialty board certifications in: Preventive Medicine, Pain Management and Quality Management.
